Narbonne Lawyer Committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
My understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is founded on a simple conviction: economic success only truly has meaning when it is accompanied by a genuine commitment to society.
As a committed lawyer and an active member of Rotary International, I have always believed that our responsibilities extend beyond the strict boundaries of our professional activities. They involve deploying our skills, networks and influence in the service of the public good, and developing initiatives that are practical, measurable and sustainable.
Concert with L’Harmonie de Narbonne
It was in this spirit that we organised a concert with the Harmonie de Narbonne orchestra, the proceeds of which funded the donation of two ventilators to the maternity ward of Narbonne Hospital. This project reflects my vision of CSR: identifying a local need, bringing together cultural and economic partners, and turning a civic initiative into a real impact for the community.
Concert organised with Kendji Girac
Similarly, the concert organised with the artist Kendji Girac in support of the firefighters demonstrated how collective action can strengthen solidarity while recognising the commitment of those who protect and serve society.
On January 10th, the Narbonne Arena moved to the rhythm of an exceptional concert in support of the firefighters of Aude, everyday heroes severely affected by the terrible fires that ravaged our department.
“The role of justice is to protect citizens when fear seeks to justify every breach of the law.”
Robert Badinter
My approach to CSR
For me, CSR should not be treated as a communication tool or merely a regulatory requirement; it should form part of an organisation’s culture. It means placing people at the centre of decision-making, supporting local initiatives, promoting culture and health, and building responsible partnerships between businesses, institutions and associations.
As a lawyer, I aim to reflect this vision in my professional practice: promoting meaningful initiatives, encouraging the concrete measurement of social impact, and making corporate responsibility a genuine driver of innovation, sustainable performance and trust.
Finally, I strongly believe that the credibility of any CSR approach depends on the consistency between the values promoted and the actions taken. My voluntary commitments and involvement in community initiatives reflect this belief: a responsible organisation is one that acts, shares and works with others to build a more supportive and sustainable society.
